Providing quality services and support to citizens in Adams County, Colorado since 1964.
Early Intervention

The Early Intervention program provides early childhood intervention to children with delays or disabilities from birth to age 3. Services are provided at no cost to families as funding comes from State of Colorado, Medicaid, family private insurance coverage, and program fund-raising projects, such as, Stroll Along for Children, a family fun-walk.

Services include an assigned Coordinator to work with the family and the development of a plan for meeting the child's and family's needs. Additional services may include individual therapies, such as speech therapy and parent training and support.

When the Part C lead agency changed from the Colorado Department of Education to Community Center Boards like North Metro Community Services on July 1, 2006, North Metro was very fortunate to have been able to hire all the Early Childhood Connections of Adams County (ECC) Service Coordinators! They kept the same children and families on their caseloads and that ensured a smooth transition! Our ECC and NMCS Early Intervention Service Coordinators have always maintained a positive relationship and have worked side by side serving infants and toddlers in Adams County. Now that we are all together in one location, our team has grown even stronger!

Early Intervention also works closely with the 5 Adams County School District Child Find offices (called Part C services), and a number of child-related agencies, such as Social Services and Tri-County Health Department.

You may call (303) 252-7199 (North Metro) for information about Early Intervention and/or to make a referral.
