North Metro Provides Administrative Leadership

The Administrative leadership at North Metro consists of our Executive Director, Roxanne Pinneo and our Assistant Executive Director, Randy Brodersen.

Roxanne has been the Executive Director for 14 years. In 1975 she was a special education teacher and a case manager at North Metro's Rivendell School and became Assistant Executive Director in the 1980s. Roxanne is regarded as ethical and caring balanced with a no nonsense approach to the many issues confronting the field of developmental disabilities.

Roxanne says, "I continue to find great satisfaction working with the consumers, their families, the staff here, and other agency people. I really like to problem-solve with others and believe in an open door policy for consumers, family members and staff. I have an abiding interest in seeing that staff are well cared for, and that includes good training, good supervision, and good benefits—all to the benefit of the people we serve."

Randy Brodersen became Assistant Executive Director in 1995. He is a graduate of Hastings College and the University of Colorado Law School. He became aware of North Metro during his tenure as Adams County Operations Administrator and has brought to his current position a quiet steadiness and strong ability to connect with other people.

Randy observed, that while being involved in all of the big negotiations that would affect the community was a lot of fun, it does not compare to the personal satisfaction that working at North Metro gives him. He finds relationships with the consumers the biggest thrill. "From day one walking into the atrium at NMCS was like having 200 - 300 friends all at one time".
