Individuals who need assistance with their daily living activities, such as learning to use a battery operated wheelchair safely or using a special switch to turn on a blender to make a milkshake, may be a part of the Intensive Habilitation program. Staff members are well-trained with consulting services as necessary with the Day Program nurse.

Activities in this program include:

• Sensory activities, such as art, music, and water therapy
• Community experiences, such as movies, picnics in parks
• Use of adaptive equipment to increase independence
• Use of alternative positioning time for relaxation
